If you are interested in participating in this composers challenge, please sign up in this thread. In the last competition, we had six contestants who all did wonderful jobs. I hope to have even more people participate.
This time, we have an actual prize to be given to the winner of the contest (as decided by the voters). LaLaLand Records has generously agreed to donate a prize which is a sealed copy of:
Copernicus' Star
Just a few words on Copernicus' Star from myself, it's a wonderful score. Full of operatic vocal highlights combined with large orchestral fantasy writing. Many positive comments were made about this score at the time of its release. Jon Broxton of MovieMusicUK gave it 4.5 stars out of 5. For the Composers Challenge, contestants will have to score this clip of From Russia with Love:
It is the contestant's choice on where to start the music in this clip, they do not have to score the full 4 minutes. When you email/file share me your music, please indicate at what time point the music should start. The submitted music files should be in MP3 or WMA form. My email is kevinsmithf1master02 (at) hotmail (dot) com.
The tentative deadline is July 11th.
For everyone else, everyone on FSM gets to vote (same as last time)
