I was inspired to start this thread because Urs (Handstand) Lesse started doing this with his own photographs. He took a high-quality picture and took a chunk out of it. Then he posted it here and asked us to figure out what the object was.

Great fun, but a lot of work for him, I thought, taking his pictures and doing this. But I finally realized I could do the same by finding very large photos in Google Images, then take a piece out using Powerpoint, (maybe there are other easy programs where others can do the same).

It would be great if people could post theirs and continue the game.

So here is Urs-o-Graph #1.

What is it?

my mind always goes to naughty places with stuff like that. to stay PG-13 i'd say it's gum stuck to a chair.

It looks more molded plastic than fluid to me, but I really have no idea.

It's David's tongue, with a steel bolt through it.

He's been playing 'Brolly Russian Roulette' again:

Did 'Banzai' ever make it to US TV? Great British show.

I'm guessing some sort of tent pole or flagpole running through whatever material it's stabilizing.

Here's a bigger portion.

I'm reluctant to show you more of the dark portion, because I think it's going to get obvious fast then, but then I might be thinking that way because I know the picture already.

We'll see.

We're talking some sort of red flower here, no? Texture of red peppers. It's organic, no?

Looks like fabric, a dress or something.

I'll drop a hint and say that The Scowling Man is on the right track.

Sort of.

The important part of the picture is not the red.

A hummingbird feeding. The dark thing is its beak.
