The B-side to Varèse's American Buffalo:

Alternate:

From the Rózsa Treasury:

From the Schifrin box:

I use the LP artwork for the album programs, but I use these for the respective original scores:

For the Airstrip One twofer:

Bonus:

Well, For Whom The Bell Tolls actually is also not the Original Soundtrack. But this didn't stop Varese to put that title...

Touché.

I'm glad you're enjoying these. Most of them are from a few years ago, when I first started adding album art to my iTunes library, and again when I first got an Apple TV, which, on my TV, yields album art graphics that is even slightly larger than that of an LP.

I'm always looking out for better artwork for The Riddle of the Sands.

This one is a brand-new recreation of a cover I did a few years ago:

This is a totally new one. I think this one better captures the spirit of adventure that the score promises than the original cover whilst still maintaining that overall "clean" look:

Those two Horners are fantastic and I'll definitely be using them!

So has anyone tackled a re-do of one of the worst CD covers of all time (for one of the best scores of all time but the cover itself may have single-handedly sunk the album's chance at sales)? I am of course speaking of Christopher Gordon's On the Beach!
