Absolutely true, sorry almost forgot about TURBO TOME, it's very dynamic action score ... I enjoyed and have LP-rip.

I'm sorry not much of peoples knows him and his music, he is not very popular as Morricone, Cipriani, Rustichelli, Rota, Ortolani.....One of the best among italian composers! Refined, unfortunately underrated and almost forgotten...

I have listened a lot of DANIELE PATUCCHI rare LP's...

LP's very hard to find, even buy on eBay or somewhere else.

No one of Patucchi i've listened so far - no one of those albums disappointed me.

Except : Los Amigos & La Piu Allegra Storia Del Decamerone , i have listened the following:

Sans Sommation (watched this film)
Pane e Cioccolata (watched this film)
E tanta paura (watched this film)
Il Paese Del Sesso Selvaggio (watched this film)
Turbo Time
Dolce e Selvaggio
Il Sesso Della Strega (watched this film)
Alla Scoperta Del Mare
Wild Beasts
Eutanasia Di Un Amore (watched this film)
Cara Sposa (watched this film, GREAT 2 scores by Cipriani & Patucchi)
Metraletta Stein
Uomini e Squali
Uomini del mare

and compilations:

Temi Conduttori Sentimentali (Cam Cml 030)
Temi Conduttori Brillanti (Cam Cml 031)
Brani Drammatici, Violenti e Suspence (CAM CML 028)

Unfortunately i haven't listened others, because LP's very old, never remastered on CD, hard to find, buy.

But all that stuff - LP i listened - ARE AMAZING MUSIC!

I knew this composer 3 years ago maybe, and loved him immediately after Cara Sposa, then i watched many others films with his music and DISCOVERED MANY INTERESTING THINGS.

Deaf Smith and Johnny Ears was one of my first Italian Western LPs, way back mid 70s.

At the time I preferred my western scores a little more energetic but it has some great melodies and the gentleness grew on me.

I only have two cues of his on a spagetti western compilation, two cuts from Los Amigos, Primo Incontro & Il Punto Piu' Alto. Primo Incontro is one of my favorite cues & gets a lot of plays, but I can't think how it would work in a western, as it sounds like it should be in a contemporary Italian movie.

It sounds like he could do with a few CD releases, I'd chance a blind buy of his stuff.

While I personally don't own any albums of music by Daniele Patucchi and am not familiar with any of the films he scored, this most recent offering of a Patucchi double-bill via Digitmovies/Beat might be the first Patucchi album on my wish list:

Here's another poster image on IL LUMACONE...

[P.S. does any FSMer know if Liliana Cavani's "The Night Porter" (1974) was scored by Patucchi using the name Daniele Paris? (or are Patucchi and Paris two different composers?)]
