I'm confused by the Varese site, it says:
E.U. Release Date: 03/08/11
U.S. Itunes Release Date: 03/08/11
CDs will be available for sale on this site and pre-orders are now being accepted. CDs will ship on or after 3/8/11.
Does this mean that they'll be releasing the CD as a club-style release thru the website, as well as the iTunes release, and that I won't have to import it from Colosseum?
It certainly reads that way to me...
If so, that's great news!

Dying to hear this, but the physical CDs haven't arrived at Varese from Europe yet, so they said. I'm not complaining at all, I'm too thrilled they're making them available to look a gift horse in the mouth. They're saints, and whenever I get the CD is a treat
Doyle always does his best work for Branagh and Wargnier, because they respect his contribution and give him minutes at a time to dominate the films. Other directors just ask him to do 30 second transitionals or underscore dialogue with some mood music.

I called Varese again today. They said these CDs got delayed and are coming in from Germany this week with the Largo Winch II CDs, which I also ordered.
Very excited to hear a new Doyle, and can't believe I'll get another in just a month.

Got this a couple of days ago, listening to it now for the second time.
Doyle-does-Philip-Glass/Michael-Nyman is something I never thought I'd hear, but I quite like it.
It's a small ensemble, I think he said 11 performers in that video interview that was posted. While it doesn't have the lush Doyle sound that I love, he still manages to make 11 sound like 3 times that many, while so many composers are able to make a full symphony orchestra sound like a single synthesizer.
Composed, Orchestrated and Conducted by Doyle -- it's true I don't think we've seen that before.

Been playing this endlessly since I got it. Doyle at his best! Wargnier always gives him freedom to be sweeping, thematic and emotional. Love this album.
