In Henry's OP a few years ago, he talks about using a flat, digital antenna. So I assume he wasn't talking about picking up terrestrial television channels via analogue frequency? We can't pick up any analogue signals in the UK anymore, so it's either Freeview with a digital receiver in the TV or a set top box, or satellite and cable in some places. Do some places still have analogue where you can pick up channels with just an antenna?

The US also transition from over the air free analog transmission to digital a few years ago. That is why you need a digital antenna. The US government were providing converters for free, or at a discount (I don't remember which) during the transition period.

So you can't pick up any channels with "rabbit ears" antenna anymore then?
