2001 Planet of the Apes complete 2CD with source music?

I would again love you for it.

I love your treatment in releasing packaging and design.

There are a couple of nice source cues on it, from what I remember (like the "hip" music for the teenage apes), but more of a curiousity, really, than something which adds to the listening experience.

Wasn't some of this material included in the recent Elfman box?

Yeah, the DC animated features have had uniformly excellent scores. La La did three or four of them, but I think Watertower did the last handful. Nobody's released the last two, "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse" or "Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam." I sure hope this is not a trend...

More or less, the Burton-Elfman box set contains a lot of extra music for this release. I'm still holding out if Warner will release the CDs in said set separately.

All I can say is that people on this thread and other recent threads will be very happy with LLL's output in 2011.

My guesses (really more of a wishlist lol)

Barry - King Kong '76
Debney - Young Riders (duh)
Elfman - SCROOGED
Goldsmith - First Knight
Horner - Wolfen
Howard - Maybe Waterworld, if the OST isn't already complete?
Kamen - Die Hard definitely, but hopefully Die Hard 2 and 3 are possible too!!!!!!
Mancina - Assassins, Fair Game
Newman - er, which Newman?
Morris - Clue (duh)
Poledouris - hopefully Starship Troopers if Varese doesn't hold perpetual rights... if they do, then Hunt For Red October
Portman - Jim Henson's Storytellers (duh)
Snow - X-Files box set (duh)
Tiomkin - no idea
Williams - HOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ARGH! Clever little monkey!
Seriously though, it wouldn't hurt to tell... I would be so happy if it were David Newman. The guy is so talented and so overlooked.
