Just plain and simple.......almost Christmas and this is besides the boring and childish songs an extreme nice score. Please bring it on! (also include the trailermusic)
I just listened to the score tonight. Haven't watched the movie this year but the album including the Xmas songs was wonderful. The Josh Groban song included was a little smaltzy but fitting. The suite at the end of the album was the highlight. With the other musical tracks included I still don't remember a lot of music that was excluded. At least all the themes are represented in the suite. Reissuing of XMAS albums happens every year. With all the actors voices (mainly Tom Hanks) on the original releases, Josh Grobans work which is under contract to another label it probably doesn't sound feasible to reissue this album since it primarily thought of as a xmas album. Look how long it took Santa Claus the movie to make the leap from LP to CD. While a good idea I doubt anyone is looking to sink money into a xmas album reissue whose primary sales would peter out after the Thanksgiving to Xmas Holiday season has ended.
