Was anyone else a bit surprised that TCM aired an apparently uncut print last week of Fulci's "The Beyond" as part of their late-night Friday "Underground" series? It strikes me that they are pushing the envelope a bit these days!
It was my first viewing of the film -- so those of you who know more, please advise if this was indeed an uncut print. It seemed to have all of the eye gouging, gaping wounds, and nude zombie corpses intact. Not sure if I can say that I liked it...but it certainly was...something...!

TCM has a policy unlike THIS where they will show any movie that's on their network uncut. But that is why a lot of films TCM won't show like LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT which THIS did show but in a edited version.
TCM has gotten more liberal in recent years regarding what it will show, particularly in the wee hours of the morning. About 10 years ago, I recorded a TCM prime time showing of RAGING BULL. It clocked in about 10 minutes shorter than the theatrical version. They were probably running the network broadcast version of the film. I don't know if more recent showings of the film are longer, but I suspect that films are more likely to be cut if they are shown in prime time.
Just a few years ago, I watched a TCM showing of Cornel Wilde's R-rated environmental disaster film NO BLADE OF GRASS. It was missing a shot or two of nudity that I remember had (probably accidentally) been left in an earlier Turner Network Television broadcast that I had seen. When the Warner Archive MOD DVD of the film came out, I made sure I purchased it in order to have (I hope) the uncut version.
Just a few months ago, I watched Tony Scott's THE HUNGER on TCM. It was the first time I had seen the film, but all the reported nudity seemed to be intact, and the running time seemed complete. But again, this was shown at 3 AM in the morning.
