the real fans buys every release - and i mean EVERY - even if they already have it.

I'm proud to not be a 'real fan' of anyone then.

(I do hope you were actually being sarcastic)

Henry,

Breaking news...you're NOT entitled to this music, non of us are. Be thankful that the labels are even getting this stuff out to us considering how much legal crap they have to go through in the first place.

I really hate it when people think they're entitled to this music...

I was OR..... there are actually people out there that just buy all that is released - even if they have it already...

some might compare having the same score on Vinyl and CD but I think that's a drop in the ocean.

Not that i'm one of those people - after all I'm going to replace my CD's with the upgrade (Robocop, First Blood).

Henry's talking about disappointment, not music. So you can can put your hate away for now.

Meanwhile ... no Golden Age this batch. frown

Geez guys! Of course I'm happy for those who don't yet have the score. But at the same time I'm disappointed at not getting a never before to cd Conti score, I'm entitled. I wouldn't mind so much if it had additional music or remastered from the boxset but it's exactly the same. Other people here complain all the time and I don't care. Why can't I complain?

Complain to your heart's content, Henry! But don't you think there would have been as much complaining, if not more, had Varese miraculously found a few snippets of additional score that were, for mysterious reasons, left off the previous release? (I don't think there are any.) Or if a three year old release was now supplanted with one that suddenly had better sound? (Sounds just fine, in my opinion.) The conspiracy theorists would be out in force!

Yup. I was going to say pretty much the same thing. If they added any extra music WHATSOEVER, some people who owned the box set would be SUPREMELY TICKED because to get all the music, they'd have to double-dip.

I meant I'm entitled to be disappointed, I don't have to like everything. I can't believe we're still talking about this, I've moved on.

Before you move on, why not enjoy a little FAMILY PLOT? You like Williams.

Happy Thursday everyone!

The latest review in my Throwback Thirty series of reviews is of Bill Conti’s score for one of 1984's biggest hits, THE KARATE KID, which was playing in theaters thirty years ago this week! Wax on, wax off!
