Wonderful, what a superb start to the week.

Two of my all time favorite albums, on ONE cd and at a very reasonable price.

Thanks folks, this is another "Dream come true".

"As quickly as you can, snatch the pennies from my hand"

I believe that the LP was only issued in Great Britain.

Wow! I've been wanting a quality CD issue of Kung Fu. Maybe someday we'll get a release of the original tracks from the series.

Great price, too. smile

Man in the Wilderness was written by Jack DeWitt who also wrote 'A Man Called Horse' and 'Return Of A Man Called Horse'. I remember seeing the film at ABC New Street in Birmingham UK in early 1972. I picked the LP up cheap in a W H Smith's sale a few months later.

Film is well worth watch if the opportunity arises.

Anyway, look forward to finally getting this excellent Johnny Harris score on on CD.

Thanks Lukas.

GREATS RELEASES AGAIN from FSM and a beautifull picture COVER of late DAVID CARRADINE magnificent Kwai Chang Caine.

Glad you guys like the covers, but we're just staying out of the way of the original LPs---re-presenting the original designs of Lockart (Kung Fu) and Graphreaks (Man).

I remember when I bought the original Man in the Wilderness lp, i hated the typeface on the cover. It was a very "trendy" looking type at the time, with nothing in common with the look or feel of the movie, or with the style of the excellent illustration.

All these years later, the type now seems so old and out-of-date, it actually looks better suited and more appropriately "period" than it did way back then.

As is common, the LP reflected the original poster art.

The LP reflected the original poster art.

Yes, I know. Still Looks like someone used that typeface because it just happened to be the latest one issued by Letraset (remember good old Letraset?).
The sort of type that the local discount furniture store would use for "SALE NOW ON! EVERYTHING MUST GO!"

Notice too that Harris is left-handed in the poster and right-handed on the lp cover.
The lp also got the line wrong, which was meant to be as in the poster (RICHARD HARRIS is the MAN IN THE WILDERNESS). By leaving out the "is" the lp gives the impression that the title of the film is "The Man in the Wilderness", which is incorrect.

If I'm at all being honest, Lukas -- I much prefer the latter-styled covers, where the silver or gold framing is exempt. It's just beautiful to have the artwork showcased up-front and wall-to-wall, as with something like Outland.

This is honestly my own greatest holy Grail. I've wanted this music since I was 8 years old.

Thanks FSM. Ordered!

EDIT- and to Bruce, I'm not hibernating- I'm scoring a film. wink

listening to the samples- awesome! Not nuts about the dialogue but I honestly cannot complain having this music on CD at long last. As I mentioned above, perhaps like no other score, this one was a life long wish to have on record/CD and I'm thoroughly happy about FSM getting this out on CD.

Thanks Lukas from the bottom of my heart.

Due to legalities, apparently, if you are going to reproduce the LP cover, it has to be done without adding additional text (such as "FSM Silver Age Classics"). Hence the use of the borders to contain this text. Usually, recording company logos and catalog numbers can be eliminated or added from the cover, but that seems to be about the only permissible changes. The alternative, as you mention above with "Outland," is to design a new cover.
