Loved watching this (in syndication) as a kid in the early sixties on the old Zenith b&w tv, when the vertical hold wasn't acting up. I loved how Matthews talked faster and faster as the action heated up. Dig those '55 Buicks! Quinn Martin really got his big break working for Desilu on THE UNTOUCHABLES. Quinn Martin started out as head of post production at Universal, then went to Work at Ziv Television as a sound editor, and then went to work at Desilu, where he produced a few episodes of "Desilu Playhouse" (NOT just "The Untouchables"). Guess where THE UNTOUCHABLES started? Quinn Martin was the executive producer on only the first season of "The Untouchables", and not the entire run. He went to start his production company in 1960, where his first series was "The New Breed", which is one of the few Q.M. series not on D.V.D.. [...] , there was the Ziv Television series HIGHWAY PATROL. Crawford made an appearance as HP's Broderick Crawford in "CHiPs" where he got a ticket but was let go so they had give him a warning ánd gotten his autograph.
