Never mind the first score to the first one - is there any chance of a CD release? There was only ever an LP and cassette release (a CD pairing both WILD GEESE scores wasn't legit) and I've been hoping someone would release it for ages now.

It would be nice to see this on CD, I agree. I've still got the cassette somewhere. To be honest though, I never thought it was one of his best scores, and certainly for me not as enjoyable as the one which he wrote for the first film.

One day perhaps.

Yes. It's a pity that Silva Screen can't try and do it I suppose - it would make a change from the zillionth release of Get Carter......

Presumably some sort of rights snarl-up.

Also, seeing the preview above reminds me that I really miss Patrick Allen's somewhat portentous voice-overs, which make even the poorest films seem very good. I don't think Wild Geese II is as bad as all that, but Scott Glenn was certainly no Richard Burton big grin

Yup, bringing up an old thread. Was just listening to the lp for this score. And, I must say, I actually like it better than the first. I can only hope that one day this does finally hit cd. A fine action score, performed by the LSO. Roy Budd was an excellent and under-rated composer.

Is this a rerelease of the LP or is it the original recording. Is it complete?

Wow, the second half reminds me a lot of "Galaxy Express 999". Which came first?
