Thanks for this info.
The question is, are performances like the Frankie Laine songs (Yuma, OK Corral) from the soundtracks, or just the less attractive studio re-recordings already available on albums like "On the Trail" etc.
I'll try to find out more but I think I'll be getting this anyway... there's definitely some stuff on there I'm keen to have.

Glad to help - found it on amazon uk. Certainly a decent list for the price.

But not public domain. wink

Nice looking collection, though, especially when it is only £8:

Thanks for the tip, op!

Got this last week. To answer a question above, the version of Gunfight at the OK Corral is as heard in the film, well enough recorded. Even more remarkable is Hugo's main title from VERA CRUZ, three minutes and thirteen seconds long and free of any sound effects, etc. I wonder where they managed to find that...

NP - Vera Cruz - "Opening Title" !

Wow folks, I only found out about this release right now, some great music on those CDs, I'll be ordering this! Only this morning I was watching Vera Cruz on our TG4 channel, and enjoying Friedhofer's score as always, and I thought to myself "I bet those tapes of the original score are still surviving somewhere"! Here's to the day we finally see a release of Hugo Friedhofer's Vera Cruz!
