Did you ever see her in a great 1985 TV movie, Between the Darkness and the Dawn? I remember seeing this when I was like 8 at the time and freaking LOVED it. Why some 8 year old is watching this very dramatic film, who knows. Wonderful job and a great score by Dana Kaproff.
I taped it off TV and then put it to DVD, I get it out once in a while.
Basically this teenage girl in the 50's or 60's while at school, collapses. At the time she had the perfect life, boyfriend, cheerleader etc. She slowly awakes like 20 plus years later to find everything has changes, very interesting story and a great great job by Elizabeth.

I missed it, sounds great. She was a consummate actress, TV was her playhouse, she never seemed interested in theatrical movies. God love her, she died too young, and died a dignified early death. She found out weeks before she passed of the severity of her illness.

There isn't a single thing she has done, that I haven't seen. Among my top 10 favorite actresses. I miss her so much.

Only Liz was much more purty.  I love her work. All those
great tv movies. The ones I always wound up watching were
the scary ones, like THE VICTIM. I saw that when I was 6 in
1971. Scared the poo out of me, and I had nightmares for
a couple days after.

Elizabeth Montgomery had loads of charisma and charm, but I've read interviews that suggest she was not very confident of her beauty. Anyway, she had a warm, approachable quality and I think she's quite presentable:

She's very touching in this mid first season ep of BEWITCHED. It was one of the first I ever saw when I was 9 during summer 1965 reruns when our family was back in the states for vacation.

And Dick Sergeant was to be Grimes' husband. Although, I don't think she left as much as they never really sealed the deal with the network. Montgomery and her husband, William Asher were shopping a series about a multi-millionaire woman, who marries a regular Schmo, and has to continually fight the urge to use her money, to buy her out of various situations. The Grimes/Sergeant show was about a witch who marries a mortal. ABC took the witch theme and combined it with the rich woman plot, and took Liz and her husband. Asher wanted York, not Sergeant. I think things worked out exactly as they should have.
