Geez. I've gotta get over to this side of the board more often. I picked up the final Fu Manchu arc of this from Ebay a little while ago, because I stumbled on this site and was wowed by the art: http://www.supermegamonkey.net/chronocomic/entries/master_of_kung_fu_116-118.shtml Never had read any before, gotta go dig em out tonight. Plus I've got Six from Sirius (though haven't read it in ages, don't remember it) - so another I need to remind myself of. Thanks, guys, for keeping the flame alive!

Thank god you do, or I'd never have seen this! EDIT - plus I see this is post 123 - I love that kind of numeric irrelevancy.

Finally, Master Of Kung Fu is being collected and reprinted by Marvel. In June, they'll publish the Master Of Kung Fu Omnibus, almost 700 pages , $125.00 retail. A bit cheaper on Amazon's pre-order page, but either way it's way out of my price range. A few Essential or Epic trade paperbacks would have been fine. Ah, well. Included are : SPECIAL MARVEL EDITION #15-16, MASTER OF KUNG FU (1974) #17-37, GIANT-SIZE MASTER OF KUNG FU #1-4, GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-MAN #2, and Material from IRON MAN ANNUAL #4 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/130290129X/ref=s9_simh_gw_g14_i1_r?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=152CTBAGKAWXJ92PZYZ8&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=2079475242&pf_rd_i=desktop

Me too on the hoping for an Epic Collection collection rather than an omnibus. Though I did get the Simonson Fourth World omnibus with a Christmas gift card. But then, anything Kirby related kind of calls out for a giant honking book, however unwieldy. Since some former omnibuses are coming out in Epic Collections (Thor To Wake the Magog and Silver Surfer When Calls Galactus are two I picked up), I hold out hope that one day this, too, may reappear in that form. Though, frankly, I may not wait for it. I'd rather have the omnibus than tracking down all those icky dirty old newsprint comics (like vinyl, I don't miss the old format at all, and have to buck myself up to read old issues).

Amen on the big books. My wife is an artist and we have such a collection of monsters that she wants to start weeding them out. The worst thing about old comics is that it's getting harder and harder for me to read the newsprint captions - that alone makes upgrades (and sometimes digital comics, though I don't love them as much as other digital media) so helpful for me.

Dude, I've got trifocals that I wear just when I'm, err, awake. But enough about me.
