Although we really enjoy his and

first place in our hearts go to the (sadly still unreleased) gorgeous music for

We first became aware of it when we were living in Buffalo (circa 1992) and would venture over to The Falls, where we came upon this theatre (8 years later, we were honored to become friends with an Italian couple from the Old Country who own a motel literally a block in back to the right of the Dome).

Mr. Conti’s expressive versatility is given a splendid showcase within these captivating 40 minutes, encompassing the majesty,

mystery,

adventure,

and (real-life) thrills that makes The Falls the contemporary Wonder of the World it is.

We were so enraptured by what the composer conjured up we finally just recorded the durn thing
on a cassette we hadda be satisfied with for years until the recent release of the film on

(Warning: the synch's a bit off on this clip, but you can still snatch a small atmospheric
smattering of the music).

Granted, it’s hardly the same as seeing it on that humongous IMAX screen

but the impressive impact of Mr. Conti’s evocations lose none of their memorable luster.

Wow, that looks and sounds great. Hopefully one of our beloved labels will release this Conti.
BTW, is this like the first Conti thread, that wasn't posted by Henry wink

Speakin' of Musical Holy Grails Department:

Mayhap some enterprising (not the Starship) label might get around to brilliantly-belatedly

releasing the composer's marvelous achievement before the next millennium, no? wink

I would certainly buy it... and also a rerelease of Grand Canyon with decent sound.
