He'd have to have more than the blessing of Disney,as real musicians played on these scores and that means re-use fees.

Are these nice and legal?

Well, the artwork on one of them indicates that it is for promotional use only, and not for sale (and yet it is being sold). Just sayin'

Yeah, but they aren't being handed out for promotional use and he's put them up for download which means its … well, I think he might not be walking a great line here. Mr. Mouse might not be please, as well as the AFM.

Well on one hand Disney continues to release very obscure soundtracks digitally. On the other hand TailSpin is not listed on Amazon. I guess if you want this BUY IT NOW!

Well, crap! I should have bought it the other day. I was amazed that he got the OK to post that from Disney. Guess it was too good to be true.

Yikes - the whole page has gone?!

Since nobody answered my Q above I didn't order Tailspin. Guess I'll just keep the promo CD. I did buy DNA before it vanished.

I finally had the chance to look at and compare the releases. The music in the original promo is lossless, the BandCamp release is lossy seeming like a VBR conversion. Still of good quality. Aside from the score medley tracks, the only unique tracks to BandCamp were:

9 - TaleSpin Wild Ride (:50)
10 - TaleSpin Air Battle (2:26)

The score medley tracks look to be the equivalent of isolated scores from two different shows. The quality sounds more compressed than the previous tracks and is also of lesser quality. That being said, the music is very fun to hear.

23 - Score Medley Part 1 (23:04)
24 - Score Medley Part 2 (20:45)

23 starts out with the TaleSpin heroic theme, goes into a bad guy theme and then varying character themes/interactions. It ends with some music similar to the original jungle book and then some big band type music.

24 starts out with some circus and marching band music and continues this theme throughout much of the track. There are also some heroic themes and it ends with what seems like a character joke or what you would expect for an episode wrap up.

Then again, they could just be a combination of music for the show arranged to resemble an episode. Who knows?

Seeing CDs pop up for sale on eBay - just wondering if it's a hint of something to come, or just folks trying to sell em.

3 copies up right now. One just CD only, one buy it now for a hefty price, and another one sitting at around $30USD...for now.

I'd definitely would say so and look no further than recent eBay dumps of Masada (2011 release), The Eiger Sanction, The Towering Inferno, Dracula (the original 1990 release) and many others.

I remember years ago when a well produced unmentionable of Point Break showed up on eBay and then months later, La-La Land released the official release in Feb. 2008. So this definitely a tip off of something "big".

I dunno. But I sure could kill myself for not buying the digital album the composer had up for sale for about a week!

You can still listen on their site:
https://composerchrisstone.com/playlist/tale-spin/

I think the quality is only at 128Kbps - Christopher Stone has a disclaimer that folks can use the music on his site for their own private use only/promotional purposes I believe.
