It needs to be... It doesn't need to be anything. Let LALALAND do what they need to do and just be happy it's being reissued/remastered/expanded. So if - and they're not - La-La Land expanded the album by 1-minute, we should all just grab hands and shit ourselves in delight? All signs point to this being a less-hair-raising affair for LLL than BATMAN was, which is a good thing. My only hope is that any separate, unreleased cues are left intact (say "The Zoo" fly-over), and not melted into long, monster tracks with previously available material. I for one can't wait. This is as good a score as any film composer has ever written! I'm going to cue up the OST right now in anticipation...

Because I'm not a record producer. I'll leave the album arrangement to the professionals. A random playlist made by yours truly, consisting of tracks that I happen to "like", does not necessarily make a good, coherent album experience. Plus, customers shouldn't be required to edit their albums once they buy it. That's part of the whole "package" you're buying. Well, I'm glad that's just your opinion man because I enjoy listening to the whole thing. At least if it's presented complete, you still have the choice to edit it down. Whether you can do it or not is your problem, not the producers. If they released the soundtrack to meet your criteria, than that presentation would be set in stone. I could not with all my tools re-insert music that isn't there, where as if it was complete, I would certainly be able to remove certain portions. So if the soundtrack was released complete, we all have our options. And if you don't know how to edit music, I'd recommend it. It can be pretty fun!

I could not with all my tools re-insert music that isn't there, where as if it was complete, I would certainly be able to remove certain portions. So if the soundtrack was released complete, we all have our options. No, as I said - rearranging an album is NOT an option for people in my camp. I don't have the SKILL to do it, nor should it be required of me. It's the composer's and/or record producer's job, not mine. I want to buy a finished product, not mess around with it. I want to press "play" and listen, that's it. If that means that you don't get the music you want....well, tough luck! (I'm sorry to be so blunt, but that's how it is). The only viable option is to have two simultanous soundtrack releases - one album-arranged for people in my camp and one C&C for you. And if you don't know how to edit music, I'd recommend it. It can be pretty fun! Everyone can put some random tracks together. That does not make it a good album; and most certainly not better than what the composer himself would have done with his OWN music. Or another savvy record producer.
