this might be a bit silly BUT i have received SILVERADO from INTRADA but the the jewel case was all smashed that also extended to the cover having receiving some holes

I have not unsealed it to check the CD's but do you think i can get INTRADA to send me a new jewel case with new cover to me ?

This is actually the only instance i have experience from the many INTRADA cd's i have received

AND ALSO

Many of the cd's i have received from LA LA have not been in tip top regarding the jewell case - there have been cases where the small bits that holds the cd has been ruined so the CD actually not are tighted to the jewel case

Do their service extend to replacing Jewel cases ?

This has happened a lot of times with the LA LA cd's i have received.

These are important topics, don't you think it would be easier/faster/more helpful to contact La-La and/or Intrada themselves. They all have emails and they do respond to every single one of them, unless your spam. To get the fastest response, email them, they don't check this board hourly. Least I hope they don't they need to all get out and have fun away from their computers.

It would make the most sense to email them with these questions, just a thought.

What they may/may not do is up to them, but I can't imagine they would work to get this story a happy ending!!

Gosh, this might be a bit silly, but did you contact them and ask? Let us know what YOU
find out.

On the rare occasion I have a damaged standard jewel case, I replace it myself. I have plenty of spares and they are cheap. I agree with others, contact the label, most have excellent customer service.

I also replace my own CD cases as I don't think I need to bother all these retailers because the mail service folks dropped a weight on my CD and cracked the case. And since you can replace them for so cheap.

If it's just a smashed case, I wouldn't bother contacting them. Jewel cases are dime a dozen, and you could easily replace it yourself. However, if the artwork itself is ruined, I would obviously ask for a replacement. That's a crucial part of the package that is not easily replaceable.

I agree with Thor.

Wait... did I just say that?!?

did you ever think to perhaps email them asking about this FIRST before posting here?

Gee, that's what most people would do before POSTING A PUBLIC THREAD?

Or do you just want the attention from everyone?

have you EVER ASKED T HEM DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS?

Did that ever occar to you BEFORE POSTING HERE?

Or as I've already stated, do you just need the attention so bad you can't grasp the concept of asking them by email first to solve your issue?

I'ts really "Silly" to start posting here before asking the vendor FIRST!

Ditto here, I always keep spares around to swap out for damages cases.

Cracked/damaged jewel cases in mail order are common fact of life. I find it weird anyone would post or complain about it here. In fact, I find it odd that it would even bother anyone since it is easy & cheap to replace (as Thor said). I have never judged a seller on cracked jewel cases and I have never had one refuse an exchange if I had wanted one.

Actually, Intrada takes more care in shipping than any other seller I know, using boxes rather than envelopes. Maybe you sat on your order at some point in your excitement.

WTF man?

INTRADA has customer service.

Did it ever occur to you to email them instead of creating another one of your redundant threads?

Jesus.

The guy posted a thread asking for advice. Peter already helped him in the second post. As usual on this board he's getting the lynch mob treatment. Guys, really?

Wait, this makes no sense... so you're requesting replacements for the jewel case and cover BEFORE checking if the CD is damaged?

You don't have time to send one email to Intrada but you have time to create this thread, periodically check on it and respond to it THREE times?

You don't have time to unwrap a CD or e-mail Intrada... yet you have time to write a lengthy post about it here?

C'mon - don't kid a kidder.
