Any of you Dr. Katz fans out there, make your presence known. I'm plowing through the entire series on DVD (although I've seen most of them before) and it is one of my all-time favorite shows. Hi-lar-ious. I've got a crush on Laura.

If that is the US animated series from a few years ago, I loved it!

Yeah! "Squigglevision" animated. My friend calls it the Crackhead Show because the animation is always shaking. It ran on Comedy Central Channel. Had the stand-up comedians do their routine as patients on Dr. Katz's couch...

I used to watch Dr. Katz all the time back when it was on Comedy Central. Although they had some very funny patients come to see the Dr., my favorite moments were always between Dr. Katz and his son.

Do you know of Zach Galifianakis? I wish he'd had a chance to guest on the show.

Man, Winona Ryder was a guest once and she was not funny.

Ray Romano always killed, but was at his funniest then, not with Everybody Loves Raymond.

I love Dr. Katz, but I think I only have the second season on DVD. Always wanted to get the complete series set but it was way too expensive. I'll look into it again.

Are you a fan of Home Movies, DeputyRiley? It's easily one of my top five favorite shows. I'm just sad that it only lasted four seasons, albeit it had a very good ending.

The Dr. Katz box set I found at Best Buy was pretty well-priced...maybe $50 or $60? Just one season of Six Feet Under costs that much, and that's for like a 12-episode season! If you can find the box set, it's worth the $$$. Great packaging, booklet, attractive layout, great bonus features.

I tried Home Movies because it had H. Jon Benjamin's (Ben Katz) voice and seemed similar in style and irreverance, but I didn't find it as funny.

You should definitely give it another try. Coach McGuirk is one of the greatest characters in television as far as I'm concerned.

I remember the first time I saw it, was like 2am on Adult Swim. I saw one episode and thought it was hilarious. Never looked into after that, until I caught another random episode around 2 years later and loved it too. That's when I went out and bought all the seasons.

A perfect blend of improv that makes the interactions and awkwardness some of the most natural I've seen.

Must admit that was pretty hilarious. H. Jon Benjamin is such a funny dude. I'll have to check out some more now...thanks!

I agree, the best part isn't the stand up.

In today's world of over scripted comedy, the rather minimalist approach of Dr Katz is refreshing to say the least.

Hilarious show. One of the funniest moments is Ben cooking Thanksgiving dinner.
