Actually. if you look at the picture of the rear cover (it's a bit small, so you need to squint....), there is a picture of the album cover for LE PARC. The other piece of music on the disc is 'Tiergarten' - also on LE PARC album.
In other words, I'd guess that this is the same STREET HAWK track from LE PARC, issued on the 7", along with another cut from the album?
Yes, it was also issued on an EP here in the US, the EP was titled Streethawk as well, both tracks from the LeParc album
yes, one day we will get the official Street Hawk soundtrack I hope.
in the meanwhile, here's some new car / bike chase synth music that I decided to conjure up to enjoy. Sorry for the crappy quality video, but the sound quality is decent enough.
The crappy EP featured this horrendous version I didn't even believe was TD because it was so bad (back in the 80's). There are so many versions of this out there people have recorded at various speeds...it's hard to discern which one was truly correct...but I think this one represents what it is supposed to sound like. On my copy of Electronic Orgy it's played at this speed just a tad slower (with superior SQ). IMO nothing comes close to the TV version. I am completely absorbing the series now (got it last week) and I'm enjoying going through it like a fine wine...or maybe a Dublin Dr Pepper. It has aged like cheese should. This is my favorite era of TD; an amalgam of Poland sprinkled with Flashpoint , Green Desert and......and.....I'm sorry...I lost my train of thought listening to Horns of Doom. Anyway...
After 5 years still no release? Which label can help us? pretty please.
I think hiring a group of mercenaries and erasing Universal's board of directors might be the fastest solution. Those fools are obstructing so much good music. Universal has the most interesting series but it treats its property with very little respect if any at all. I don't know what it is with the entertainment industry that virtually all its branches of government carry so much rotten fruit.
I've given up the possibility of getting a proper release of this soundtrack, in my lifetime: It's never going to happen. There are versions of music from the TV show out there. Someone compiled a bootleg a number of years back but it's not the same. There's more chance of Jan Hammer releasing more Miami Vice score than there is of ever getting a Streethawk soundtrack. That puts it into perspective ;-)
