Someone posted a bit from "Murder by the Book" on YouTube.

Murder by the Book remains the best movie Spielberg ever made. Love that opening shot.

I wouln't go so far, but it's definitely one of the best Columbo episodes.
So sad, that Jack Cassidy had to leave this world so soon. Really liked his three Columbo roles.

I usually watch columbo saturdays around noon on tv while I'm preparing dinner; there was one episode involving a sex therapist with an alter ego and the character had a great femme fatale theme, I thought the music was very good on that episode.

Edit: someone posted it on youtube, enjoy!

I usually watch columbo saturday's around noon on tv while preparing some food; there was one episode involving a sex therapist with an alter ego and the character had a great 'basic instinct' seduction-type theme, I thought the music was very good on that episode.

That must have been "Sex and the Married Detective" from 1989. Patrick Williams, a regular composer on the latter seasons, composed this gorgeous saxophone theme. Perfect match for the show's murderer.
Agree with you!

EDIT: Thanks for the link! wink

Just seeing his face makes me smile at the relish he had playing those roles.

Hello

I'm writing here because I'm searching a track that I heard in a Columbo episode, "Old fashioned murder".
The opening and ending music, composed by Dick de Benedictis, which I liked very much, as the episode itself....

Do you know how it can be found?

Thank you very much.

I was watching Jack Cassidy's last Columbo episode, 'Now You See Him'. What a great opening theme (by Bernardo Segall). I'm still hopeful that a Columbo soundtrack might pop up at some point.

The gent who plays the victim in that episode, Jesse Jerome (Nehemiah Persoff), is still alive and kicking at 95!

I'd say it isn't Columbo who's dumbo.
