I've just ordered DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and THE FLASH. With DRS running not even 40 minutes, it's a pity you couldn't put another Miles Goodman score on the same CD. Anyway, I'm going to love DRS regardless.

Hmmm, Dutch is a much lower catalog number (1117) than other recent releases. Was it delayed?

Also, why are there two alternates to "Campus Choir", but no "original version"?

Finally, how come this press release says that Mercenaries is still available, when it sold out a few weeks ago?

1. Was supposed to come out last X-mas, but got delayed for other releases.

2. The Campus Choir used in the film was actually from Empire of the Sun. We did not license that track.

3. Accidentally put up the wrong version. Its been changed

Hmmm, so then it's not really an alternate, it's Silvestri's original version that was ultimately replaced in the final film.

What track is the raunchy trumpet music that plays when throughout the movie and when Doyle lays in bed with the card deck?

That is a song called Desire performed by Yello (of Oh Yeah fame from Ferris Bueller). Not on the release.

Autographs are still available for Days of Our Lives? Are you kidding me? Not even 100 copies of this set have sold thus far? Well, I suppose there's the bulk buying from other outlets as well as Amazon and the like, in which case they can't really get the autographs, but that's really surprising that not even 100 customers have picked up copies for themselves yet. frown

Anyway... I bought Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Dutch. I didn't hear the more upbeat and silly stuff in the Dutch sound clips, but if the suite that was uploaded to YouTube is any indication, I hope those cues are included elsewhere on the disc. I saw the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels movie a few months ago and I can't recall much of it now, but those samples are a delight. Thank you again, La-La Land!

Just ordered the CD, so excited!

Now, a question:

I've been wondering something for over twenty years, since I saw the film at age 10. Maybe you can help.

Is the techno song that plays over the montage of tennis and horseback riding in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, and which then continues into the nightclub scene, part of the score? Will it be on the CD? It's not credited as an existing song in the film's end credits.

Thanks!

Thanks MV. I was pretty sure it wouldn't be on there but I didn't know who did the song. Still, I ordered this CD today and I can't wait to get it. Funny because my nickname is Dutch.

Ha, I knew it!

Looking forward to getting this. I've been humming that theme all day.

Any word on that techno dance song from SCOUNDRELS?

I'm no authority, but I can tell you the word is"no". It's not part of the score, and it's not on the cd.

I agree it works well in the film. I love the shot of the tennis ball hitting Freddie in the head.
