A bit of a strange one from Horner, to me. Much like A FAR OFF PLACE, there are sections were I suspect his orchestrator may have completed the cues. Some tracks sound disimilar to the usual Horner licks, and one cue is very similar to other works by Don Davis, who helped orchestrate this one. There is no denying the origin of the scores main themes. They are trademark Horner...and the softer melody is one of his most beautiful compositions. That Circus track is rather crazy, though. I agree, although We're Back is a fun score, nonetheless. It's been at least a year since I listened to it, so I can't remember much about it, but I was especially fond of the main theme and the Grand Slam Demons track. Before there was any reissue of this one I'd want a complete, remastered Land Before Time Balto (more than 15 minutes of GREAT music could be added to this one) Secret of NIMH (don't even get me started) at the very minimum. They have a certain gravitas that is not found in other works of his or others - they are heartfelt but not too sugary, cartoony but not too 'Stalling'...it's really weird, I'll take this riddle to my deathbed, but I like them all.    Posted:   Feb 22, 2010 - 7:23 AM     By:   Yavar Moradi   (Member) Not a Don Bluth movie (and neither was Balto, for that matter). Tons of fun and my Daughter Zoe especially liked the circus-y music! But there are certainly standouts. "Flying Forward In Time" and the already mentioned "Grand Demon Parade" are outstanding cues. I'm all for expansions but I don't know if there's anything substantially missing. Not a fan of the film, just the music.
