Well...According to Ed's comments on the SAE's facebook it's not SEBASTIAN.

That is most inconvenient. Not because I'll be disappointed with whatever the release actually will be, but because I promised to shoot myself if it wasn't "Sebastian".big grin

nice to know this long wait is good for someone at least.

What about "Supergirl"? There were a multitude of ORIGINAL FULL ORCHESTRAL tracks recorded (I have heard them, some appear in the movie, and there were some i.e. Journey to Earth, that were full orchestra, but never have been publically heard)
In addition to this, there is a Love Theme Suite that has yet to be heard, many different Main Title sequences, and unused tracks. The Silva release has had it's run, and it's time for a better release!

Also,
MacArthur
Massada (Complete)
Psycho II (Complete/Expanded)
The Fourth Man
The Secret of NIMH (Complete)
Poltergeist III (The alleged unreleased score that later became Malice/The Haunting; varies on which source you heard it from!)
Reincarnation of Peter Proud (Complete)
Night Crossing (Complete) - Surprised NO ONE has mentioned THIS! HELLO!
Players (Complete)

Umm...
Love Field (Complete)
The Challenge (Complete)
Dusty (Complete)
Raggedy Man (Complete)
Twilight's Last Gleaming - Never Been Released
S.P.Y.S. - Never released
Chinatown (Expanded)
QB VII - HELLO!

Explorers would be nice
Gremlins (Complete)

I'm sure I'm missing some.

S*P*Y*S has been released.

So has "Twilights Last Gleaming" I think "Love Field", "Raggedy Man", "Chinatown". "The Challenge" are complete or close to it.

CHINATOWN lacks two cues- the music that occurs when the film cuts to Chinatown proper at the conclusion, and the scene where Gittes is showering and getting ready for bed after leaving Evelyn in the driveway of the house her sister/daughter is in.

It is less than 5 minutes of music, though.

Well I'm sure I don't know but Supergirl, and Psycho II are worthy of proper releases. The same thing goes for Night Crossing. That score is badly in need of a reissue.

Why? What's wrong with the complete one?

Supergirl has already had an expanded CD reissue, not only from Silva Screen (still available on the cheap) but also Volcano Records in Japan. Psycho II (expanded) would be most welcome, as would a reissue of the expanded (and now very pricey) Night Crossing. I'd also welcome expanded releases of any previously-released Goldsmith scores, as well as any Goldies that have yet to be released on CD.

Apologies to all- I forget sometimes that some scores are OOP.

I know PSYCHO II as issued on lp and cd is incomplete- I am reasonably certain NIGHT CROSSING is about all there was. I haven't seen the movie since Nineteen Hundred and Eighty something, though.

I apologize. I didn't realize that "NC" was complete.

As for Supergirl, There were MANY unused complete orchestral cues (Love theme Suite, Journey to earth, A faster reworking of the march, etc) that have never been released, not even on bootleg 2 discs that are floating around the net. The USA Flying Ballet on the silva edition sounds atrocious. Very softened and muddled. There would most certainly be enough for a 2 disc here.

Psycho II has this really beautiful cue near the end, when Norman returns home from getting stiches, and his living room(?) lights up in moonlight, and this breathy, hypnotic variation of the new Norman Theme just "appears." gives me chills every time! We NEED that one! The WHOLE score!

To me,
Outland complete score will be cool !!!
Poltergeist need to be newly mastered, as the Lp sounds better than the CD...
Sand Pebbles as it was intended to be released by Silva Screen
plus a recording of some Jerry conducting the LSO in concert , that would be great !!!
