Loved the first set, La La Land. Talk of a possible follow-up was around. Any developments?

As much as I love the BATMAN: TAS set, I'd love to have other Shirley Walker music before another round of TAS makes it out. If any of her music from THE FLASH makes it out anytime soon, I will be a happy guy indeed. Well, as much as I loved the first volume, it tended to be reletively "standard" as far as the scored they picked. Outside the Happy Fish episode (or whatever it's called), there were no real unique touches that many of the scores had, such as the throwback Grey Ghost episode, or the jazzy scores for the Scarface one and the one where Bullock gets arrested. Not to mention the epic Nightwing theme in the later episodes (dunno if that would be included since it's technically a different series, but I'm sure it would be all good). And the one where Harley sings. Yes, but let's say they included all of those episode scores on the set and none of what is actually featured, then you would be hearing people say "How could they have not included the iconic first episode score, On Leather Wings?" Or "How could they have forgotten the seminal noir-ish, Two-Face two-parter?" Or "How could they have not included one of the Penguin episode scores, I love his theme!?" Or "How could they not have included Christmas With the Joker and its great Nutcracker quotes?" Do you see what I'm driving at? You cannot please all of the people all of the time. Period. Just look forward to a second volume when it happens.

IIRC, MV said something about them going the download-only route. Don't trust my memory, though. I rarely do. I think he mentioned the possibility, but that the lean was towards CDs for BTAS. La La only gets CD rights from WB anyway; another company handles digital rights, as was the case with the recent GREEN LANTERN: FIRST FLIGHT. I imagine such a popular series as BTAS, with a best-selling Volume 1 set, would warrant future releases on disc. However, it'll be interesting to see how a Volume 2 is handled if WB starts up their own label.

Just for the record, in case my wording could have been misinterpreted, when I mentioned "them going the download-only route," I was referring to WB, not La La Land. I'm sure if LLL were to realease a second volume, it would be on CD. For fans of the series, I certainly hope that's the case.

La La Land: I know you've been working on other DC properties, but might you be able to update us on the status of a second volume for BTAS? I'm listening to Volume One right now, and love it more and more each time I hear it. Shirley Walker was just wonderful!
