Seeing this thread bumped lets me make two corrections to this observation of mine. First, Sierra's credit is at the back end of the credits and he does appear in the episode as a fellow detective Columbo calls by name "Lou" when he arrives at the crime scene. He's wearing an obvious toupee which camouflages his appearance a bit.
Has that pesky Arlene Martel credit ever been solved?
Someone on the Ultimate Columbo Site message board finally spotted Ms. Martel in Double Exposure. When Kepple goes to plant the gun in the Norris house, Mrs. Norris leaves just before he goes inside. Coincidence? Long wait? No...she gets into a car with Arlene Martel. Kepple's confederate, Tanya Baker was obviously helping clear the way for him. The rest of the scene must have been cut.
I haven't been to the Columbo forum in years. I thought the lady who went under the name Cassavetes45(?) was an absolute sweetheart. I had chatted with her briefly on the "Johnny Staccato" IMDb message board. I was saddened to learn that she died in 2012.

Wow, so all three of us were Columbo forum people? What was your user name there, Jim?

Me neither. The publication of COLUMBO UNDER GLASS inspired my return which led.to my discovery of the Dawidziak book.

I'm not sure I registered or posted as a guest; I just lurked.
What I remember most was Cassavetes45. She was quite a likable personality on that forum so it was nice to chat with her even if for a brief window of time, on the IMDb.
I have time for some of the later Columbo episodes that aren't that well thought of. There's one with two rich college kids who are attending a class he's lecturing at when they decide to murder someone and use their attendance as an alibi. They are repulsive and sneery, so watching Columbo take them down is fun.
I'll have to start my yearly run of rewatching them all soon. I'm just missing the very last 6 episodes i think.
