I just watched this film. Quite watchable, starring Bill Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton.

I was curious about the score, by Pete Haycock and Derek Holt. Haycock is of course the guy who plays the electric guitar on Zimmer-scores like Thelma & Louise, K2 and Drop Zone.

When the credits started I also found out that Terry Plumeri had written the "orchestral underscore".

The music could have been used to better effect in the film, but it had its moments, like the end credits, which mixes the electric guitar style ala K2 with Plumeri's orchestra:

The end credits also stated that a soundtrack is available on I.R.S. Records. Did that ever happen or is it a mistake?

Any stories about this score? Did all three composers work together?

Thanks. Interesting info (I hope Plumeri gave you permission to post his reply!).

I also noticed that this film aired on monday, and I considered seeing it, but forgot all about it.

That mp3 clip above was really nice!

I've seen the film over a dozen times and just love it! Great script, cast and direction.
Reminds me of "In the Heat of the Night".

The score Plumeri wrote was perfect for the film.
