Now that is a gorgeous score. Next to Pike`s "CAPTAIN RON" probably the loveliest "vacation score" ever. Full of happy and joyfull tunes.
What a wonderful main title with one of Newman`s most memorable themes.
It also has some terriffic action cues.
Since it is a rather short score and it is a Disney movie, it would make a perfect "double feature" together with Newman`s amazing Disney americana score "Paradise".
Can someone PLEASE release that score??? It`s so memorable and thematic and it has a wonderful vacation feeling. The score is rather short, so it would be nice if it would be combined with another score.
I've been told be a few people in the business and labels that comedy scores, sadly just don't sell. Yes many of us LOVE these scores especially me, but over all they usually don't do very well so then you have the labels making little to no profit which prevents them from putting out more. It's a stinker, but fact. I'd love to see this and Tommy Boy by David Newman, but doubtful unless a label wants to take another gamble that probably won't pay off in the end.
