What a fabulous artist. I've always loved his work right from when I first became aware of him as plain Barry Smith and came to my attention through a certain iconic character.....

Portrait of Madame Canals- Pablo Picasso, 1905

It blew my mind at how many women in Barcelona resembled this woman, particularly with the same nose(!). Saying a woman has the same nose as a Picasso painting might get one into trouble, but luckily Pablo had many, many phases. Madame Canals was lovely and so were many of the woman of Barcelona.

"Castle and Sun"-Paul Klee, 1928

I envy my fellow film score-loving toads in the London area who can see the Tate Modern's Paul Klee exhibition until March 9, 2014...have any of you gone to this?
