¶ Two loose ends about these Blu-Ray editions.
I. Amazon US stated that season 5 had English and Spanish subtitles to select and the blu-ray.com site omitted to mention that fact.

Two weeks ago today we broke the news that on November 11th, A&E with distributor Lionsgate Entertainment will release The Avengers - Season 5 on high-def Blu-ray Disc. At the time we reported that it was a 3-disc set, with 24 episodes, presented "in widescreen video, with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio." Fans went bonkers about that "widescreen" bit, of course, because the show was originally broadcast in "square" full frame video aspect ratio. So we've followed up with the studio about this, and confirmed that this was a typo in the info they originally sent to retailers the other week. The Avengers - Season 5 info presented above is all correct, except it will be FULL SCREEN video, not widescreen, after all. It's officially described by them as "1080P High Definition 4x3 Full Screen (1.33:1)." Cost is $29.99 SRP, and Lionsgate has sent over the following statement describing the release: John Steed (MacNee) works for British Intelligence, and the cases he finds are always a bit odd, just on the edge of science fiction. Steed is the ultimate in culture and grace as he saves the world each week, along with his female partner Emma Peel (Rigg). Amazon UK doesn't offer the pre-order for The Avengers Series 4 (BD) yet. It's always slow and they tend to offer it just one month before the release date. Therefore by mid-October, Amazon UK will start their offer.
The Murder Market is an excellent episode and it's hard to believe that it's Diana's first go 'round, as she seems right in character with the exception of her slamming her hand down on Steed's toy soldier table.
As for the villains, Patrick Cargill was brilliant!
Have you seen The Prisoner episode - 'Hammer Into Anvil.'? Cargill is excellent in that episode.
