Ford: CTS was a good guess as the brass sound on this is remarkably similar to year one "Space: 1999" (episode scores recorded at CTS), the Paris "TAS" orchestra, at least in the symphonic style cues, likely being of similar size to Gray's "1999" ensemble of 32-52 players. I imagine Ellis had at least forty players for the pilot and main title (the string section sounding quite "healthy"). The music has more of the feel of Derek Wadsworth's Year 2 Space:1999 music, to me.

Lukas said on January 13 this year: Folks, we are researching the Animated Series and hope to be able to release it in some form, at some time. That's all I can say—there are licensing as well as technical hurdles. Thanks, Lukas

So Yvette Blais and Jeff Michael are created as the composers for the series. But Jeff Michael was actually Ray Ellis working under a pseudonym according to this video. I don't know if this was common knowledge around here, but this explains the confusion regarding composer credits for me. Yup, the video is correct. I don't have time to listen to it, but I imagine it states " Yvette Blais" was his wife's name and "Jeff" and "Michael" were Norm Prescott's kid's names.
