Decided to give this one a spin this morning. What a gem of a score and release!

At this rate I'll be getting PETER PROUD in ten years time. Just received ONE LITTLE INDIAN (that's what I call snail-mail), and it's as great as everybody said it was in 2009. Wonderful, and even with my aversion to "funny" music, the few cues that contain that approach are so inventive that they parry any annoyance. "Rambunctuous"? But yes, for the most part this doesn't sound like a music for a Disney film starring camels. It steers well-clear of cutesy, and parts of it could be right out of any other top-drawer JG Western score. One observation - Most of the posts from 2009 were by people fretting over low quantities and it being on the verge of selling out. My copy, ordered last week, bears the 2009 release date. I just assumed that it would be the reissue from last year. Intrada did re-press it last year, right? If that's the case, was it remastered at all, even slightly? There are two brief moments on my disc which sound a little wavery, in fact at one point it sounds like the tape's about to break. No big deal, but would be good to know if the repressing was exactly the same. Have only heard it once. Why am I sitting here in silence? Goodbye. And I also have John Williams' COWBOYS to savour. Cowboys n' Indian(s) - great duo. Must make a mental note to ask Santa for Peter Proud in 2027.
