http://www.cornpops.com This comes close to the video of David Hasselhoff flying through the air with dachshunds. What kind of image are they trying to build here? Did some at Kelloggs just say "Do whatever the hell you want. I don't care. We're dumping Corn Pops anyway so just spend the money before the fiscal year is out."

Did all breakfast cereals stop putting toys in boxes? I was at a store a couple of weeks ago and went through a strange period of regression in which I bought a couple boxes of cereal (I never buy cereal). I got some Fruity Pebbles and Trix for old times sake, and there were NO prizes in the box! Outrageous! When did this tradition die? Lemme guess...too many complaints from parents about their tots choking on little chunks of plastic? pfft.

I kept waiting for William Shatner to break out with Mr. Tambourine Man.

It sounds like only Oldsmith went to the site. You truly must see this. It's bound to be fabled, a thing of legend. Future generations will ask if you saw it.

Wow those clowns are scary ! Reminded me a bit of the "Cloverfield" sites that sprang up as part of that film's viral ad campaign. Great stuff !

In the 50's, sugar cereals were exactly that. There were Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops, Kellogg's Sugar Smacks, and Kellogg's Sugar Frosted Flakes. All of which I devoured, regularly. Post was Kellogg's major competitor, and they had a cereal they called Sugar Rice Krinkles. The advertised it with an animated oriental stereotype, as I recall, with hornrimmed glasses, a pigtail, and buck teeth, who used to call out, "Sugah Lice Klinkus!" True. Have times really changed? Or, is all this just hidden somewhere? Like Disney's pickaninny centaurette in FANTASIA, companies try to hide these things, and pretend they never happened.
