I've never seen a Pertwee episode except bits from the DVD special features. The Master poses as the bishop: very wild! I read the restoration article: very edifying. Thanks. By chance, I found my copy of that novelisation the other week and it's Pertwee on the cover. I think the U.S. novelization capitalized on Tom Baker's eps being broadcast on PBS and this is a first printing from May, 1979. I was hooked on the Doctor big time around 1979-80. There's even a blurb inside stating that the adventure features the fourth Doctor. Incidentally, during that 1980 Doctor Who obsession of mine I felt like I made some great breakthrough; British adventure! I have seen episodes and think I wouldn't have been into Doctor Who as much if he'd been my childhood Doctor instead of Tom Baker.
