I searched and found no threads on this composer's work.

I own "Le Clan Pasquier" and "Sans Famille" ...both are gorgeous! I'm hoping to find "Aurore" and "Les Thibault" soon. (they pop up on ebay sometimes)

His official website:

Anyone familiar with his work?

Matt

I have Sans Famille only and it´s an excellent score. If only there was more available from him...

"L'Odysee Bleue" CD (documentary) was my first score ever heard. Have most others released but so far I'd say L'Odysee... is his masterpiece.
Salut

I would like to add his LOUIS LA BROCANTE which is an excellent score. I believe it's one of the more hard to find Cinéfonia releases (even before the label ceased to exist) but well worth it.

Remembering him on the day that marks first anniversary of his passing...

Wondering how come there was no such information actually published anywhere a year ago...?

He was indeed a talented composer, characterized by a well-mastered and elegant classical style. I was introduced to his music in TV series like LES STEENFORT and SANS FAMILLE. I have eleven scores of his as well as a library music CD entitled NATURAL HISTORY. The scores are:

Documentaries: CHRONIQUES DE L'AMAZONIE SAUVAGE, GENESIS (ET L'HOMME CREA LA NATURE), L'ODYSSEE BLEUE

TV series and movies: LES THIBAULT, LE CLAN PASQUIER, LES STEENFORT, SANS FAMILLE/MADAME DE..., LOUIS LA BROCANTE

Movies: AURORE, ALISSA

I would definitely recommend AURORE (featuring a superb main theme with soprano voice) and others such as LE CLAN PASQUIER. ALISSA is the last one I bought and it's in a different vein, much more suspenseful.
