Just finished watching both versions of this 60s film (the nude and non-nude versions on DVD) and there's Richard La Salle again recycling his melodic themes he also used in THE TIME TRAVELERS,THE DAY MARS INVADED EARTH,and TWICE TOLD TALES. The guy must've really liked those chord progressions. The music IS pretty nice however, and would be cool to have on CD. Little of La Salle's music has ever appeared on disc (LOST IN SPACE Vol. 3)
I'm just activating this thread, because I'm still hoping we get at least one of La Salle's big screen scores. My top pick would be TWICE TOLD TALES (I'm sure 1000 copys would be sold easily), but I would take anything else.
And btw, I just realised I've never seen a photo his Mr. La Salle. Does anybody ever seen one?

I almost positive some of the incidental music on this film is Capitol Hi-"Q" which wouldn't have been composed by LaSalle. Have you watched it or played a cdr of the music? That is, do you want it?

Twice-Told Tales (1963) was telecast last night. It's a negligible Vincent Price fright flick triptych based, for a change, on Hawthorne stories instead of the usual Poe. The score's dominant feature, a recurring downward octave, struck me as awfully familiar. The composer was clearly under the influence of Elmer Bernstein's Summer and Smoke, released the previous year.
