A friend had a recording of a Dirk Brosse Tribute Concert for Jerry Goldsmith. Seems he has done a number of Goldsmith concerts.
I only heard a few tracks, but it sounded pretty good.
Anyone know more about Dirk Brosse?
Interesting name. Is it pronounced like Brossi? Bro zay?

If it was the 75 birthday tribute concert with The London Symphony Orchestra held in Barbican in London in 2004, then I was there. That was the first time I heard this man`s name but he sure did a good job since Maestro Goldsmith could not attend because of his failing health.
It would be cool to hear that concert on CD, that`s for sure, it would bring back some memories.
Unfortunately I can`t help you with your question.

I attended that concert. He did a great job. I still have the program somewhere.

I have the guy on the radar since early 1990's and is a talantd contuctor, a very able-bodied comopser and a nice fellow to chat with.
Far to less of his filmscores are still availeble. 'Licht' is magnificent in it's simplicity, 'Boerenpsalm' is an excellent study in 'rural music' and besides it's corniness (sp?) I like the themes of Koko Flanel. I wish he composed more for film.
BY the way: the correcect spelling of his surname is Brossé, with the accent on the e. So you should pronounce it 'Bro-Say'.
I'm surprised that nobody has yet mentioned that Mr. Brossé conducted the London Symphony Orchestra for the sessions for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, one of Elliot Goldenthal's most epic (and accessible) film scores.
