No release of it, I have the opening and closing credits on a CDR, they are almost identical and the music is rather low-key. It's an electronic score for a western - quite peculiar but charming and different. I haven't seen the film by the way.
I finally saw the 1988 film, thanks to youtube. This is actually a good film, could easily have been a feature instead of an HBO TV movie. Directed by John Guillermin (his final film), produced by Lance Hool and written by Kevin Jarre(!), The Tracker is a moody western with great acting by the always reliable Kris Kristofferson.
Levay's score is very nice. An electronic score for a western may sound strange, but it really worked. The main theme is used a bit throughout, along with other sequencer-based themes and also some more atmospheric parts. Could indeed have worked on a 30-35 minute soundtrack.
