I'm certainly not obsessive about people starting duplicate threads, but did you even glance at this board before you posted this?

Just to let everyone know the autographs are all gone as of 5 pm today (PST). Thanks for the orders! We will be shipping them as soon as the booklets come back from Mr Frontiere.

See you after the 4th when we announce Masters of the Universe, Batman: Gotham Knight, Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo and possibly one more title.

And then...it's Warner Bros. all the way, baby!

Save up them pennies.

Now see, if MV gave me one of those nudges they have in the past after mentioning Warner Bros, I'd be able to stamp my foot three times in reply to tell them I knew what they were up to...

I hope by Warner Brothers you mean Frank Comstock's album "Project Comstock: Music from Outer Space," easily on par with the greatest sci fi soundtracks.

Best soundtrack news I've heard in a LONG time. Congrats to La-La Land for this amazing upcoming release. What marvelous music it is!

But. . .It still doesn't have the music from the greatest "love theme" from the series--"The Guests." I've waited years for this . . .And it's not . . . (sob, sob, sob).

So close, and yet so far.
Even with the George Winston piano version he did years ago. . . . (and about the only legitimate recording) I have coveted for this cue (it was reused in the Fugitive finale, "the Judgement)"

Yes. I'll probably purchase this. Yes. I will add this to my collection. Yes. It will be one thing off my list. But still. .

So, if I understood you well, MASTERS is coming early July, after the 4th, right?
Can't wait for all these cool upcoming releases!

Awesome release, absolutely ordered. At last, a good replacement for the GNP PLUS the "other volumes" they promised by never delivered...all in the same album! I'm sure much of this music will account for some of Mr. Frontiere's cues we heard on The Invaders. While this plus the Unknown are great companions, the actual music from The Invaders would be the perfect capper to his genre TV work.

Oh, does the score for Nightmare have the music without sound effects and Martin Sheen's screaming?

I'd love to know if there are any other surviving OL scores. Earlier, someone mentioned The Guests which has a beautiful Northesque love theme.

The Zanti Misfits is another terrific score. Also there are other smaller, isolated cues from various episodes like the almost bluesy suspense piece from OBIT where Harry Townes is being questioned by the investigator in a dingy hotel room. There's a whirling guitar and vibes preamble to it that's also exceptionally cool. Anyone know what the hell I'm talking about? big grin

Anyway, the new album features some fantastic music. I'm a huge fan of The Mice. It's similar to Nightmare but actually weirder! Weird is good! Some terrific electric violin mysterioso writing in there.

Hey, between Nightmare and The Mice, you could actually programme the complete score to Incubus if you wanted to.

Ahhh... Incubus. The strangest Shatner-Emotes-Esperanto film ever made.

well...MV has shared with me that they may be working on INVADERS if they can make a deal with CBS....they think they may have located the recordings. (sorry MV if this is a secret)

Maybe if this CD sells out fast enough there will be more OL music on CD. I'm sure that Mr. Frontiere wrote more scores than these for the show...(including THE GUESTS cues) Stefan can list for us the number of all original scores.
The new CD looks like they've abbreviated the suites from the previous GNP release (which could all stand remastering).

I just want to point out that this release is EVERYTHING that has survived and neither Mr Frontiere or MGM have any more music. This was a two year effort and we made sure to include everything that existed (and what was in "useable" shape).
