Goldfrapp.

My first choice, too.

I'd have to go with Shirley Bassey or Tom Jones. Or K.D.Lang again. Have no idea who most of these other names are.

Michael Bubbles should NOT be chosen though. His imitating_Harry_Connick_imitating_Sinatra bag is lame.

It's going to be someone who's a viable seller in the U.S. - for good or for bad. I really wish they'd stick with Brits though. Yanks have had their shot the last 3 out of 4, time to give it to someone from the UK.

My vote - Robbie Williams.
US alternate - bring back KD Lang

Allison Goldfrapp

She's a babe AND she can sing! smile

Goldfrapp would be a fine choice. Or, the great Shirley Bassey. Too bad Winehouse could not get it together- she would have been ideal and no doubt the endeavor would have been financially successful.

I liked the Chris Cornell song. Though out of the Bond stereotype, it seemed appropriate for the hard edged change of direction that CASINO ROYALE took from the series. I just hope it is not a disco deal like Madonna, for which I can't find even a counterpoint link to James Bond. DIE ANOTHER DAY will no doubt go down in history as a low point creatively in the series. Pure commercialism.

The Last Shadow Puppets

Anyone watching Last Shadow Puppets recent summer concerts notice the introductory music is by Georges Delerue? They have great taste!
