I just wanted to make mention of this wonderful score, which I hadn't heard in years. It's come out in Japan (in that wonderful Japanese mini-LP packaging), and I just got my copy and have been having a wonderful time listening to it. Follow Me was one of those surfing documentaries popular in the 60s, this at the tail end of the spectrum in 1969. There are some fun songs sung by Dino, Desi, and Billy (music by Stu), and the orchestral cues are just great - tuneful, charming, and full of musical inventiveness.

Since I know he reads this board, let me just say - great job, Stu, as always!

Dear H,

Many thanks for the kudos. This score was always one of my favorites. Are you aware of the fact that 11 of the cues from the film are contained in a CD titled "Sex... Surf and Cycle-Psychos." Naturally, all of the Dino, Desi & Billy tracks are omitted, since trying to clear these would have been a nightmare. It was released on the "el Cherry Red Records" and is still available on most of the Internet web sites, as well as e-Bay.

Thanks again,

SP

Didn't know about the Cherry Red release. This Japanese import has the original cover art, which is very pretty and the sound is impeccable. But, however one chooses to order it, order it - you won't be disappointed.

Isn't there a John Barry score by the same name?

Yes there is another film called "Follow Me" and John Barry is the composer.

Thanks for the info hainesway!
Also a favourite of mine. Have the Revola CD and the original LP.
But the Japan CD you mention is a must have for me.
Thanks again

Dr. Alexandre, we meet again!
Stu kindly signed a copy of the El/Cherry Red Cd for me at FSM's office closing party.
I played it in the car all the way home and was in heaven hearing it again!

Since discovering the Lp, I went through at least three copies. It never fails to cheer up a gloomy day or mood.

I was unable to afford it, but Dino, Billy and Desi did a record with Jack Nitzsche.
Perhaps several.

Discovered reissue on CD by Reelz Music UK. Several copies available rather cheap at Discogs.
Happy listening
Alex
