Vinnie Bell's version blows away Burt's version.

And I'm glad you remember you posted it before. I knew that at least one of us had lost our minds.

I like Bacharach's version better---I have Bacharach's "Nikki" on 2 different CDs. However, the ABC version has its own merits--they both are very good and appropriate for their own use.

Sadly Burt composed it for his late daughter Nikki in 1966
With lyrics by the late great Hal David.

Blast from the past. I'll always associate this theme and the intro graphics with the Kolshack: The Night Stalker movies.

Can the ABC Movie of the Week theme, with or without voice over, be found on a Television's Greatest Hits CD ?

Why is it sad that Burt named a song for his daughter?

I remember that opening well!

On a related yet tangential note, Bernard Herrmann's only TV-movie first appeared on World Premiere/Movie of the Week, COMPANIONS IN NIGHTMARE.

What I meant to say, it was sad that Nikki passed away.
If my comment caused any offense I sincerely apologize.

Oh, no, the syntax was confusing. Yes, that was very sad.

Sorry, I did not mean that in a negative way. I sometimes post something quickly on here and then I have to go back and clarify.
