I am LOVING this score!!!!!!!! Mod cool, swinging lounge jazz. I have a big weakness for this kind of music. TAKE ME TO MY LOVER sounds more like a glorious AUSTIN POWERS send up than Q's SOUL BOSSA NOVA ever could. Can anyone recommend anything similar? Obviously The Avengers CD is in the mail and I have alot of Mancini's lounge efforts. I've always liked Goldsmith's FLINT efforts, but found the limited running times of the albums to be off putting, and is there a CD release for William's HOW TO STEAL A MILLION? I want more of anything cool and laid back with B3 organs, xylophones, guitar bass, Herbie Mann style flute work, horns and a bit of pop strings. I also prefer John Barry in this mode too (THE KNACK, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER), as oppose to his dramatic works. Les Reed to my mind, like John Scott, should have been given much bigger film scoring assignments. Another member of the Barry gang with an amazing sense of melody. Reed should have at least had a James Bond in there. The segments and end title he scored for CREEPSHOW 2 deserve a CD release as well.

Didn't Reed's LE BICYCLETTES DE BELSAIZE (I probably massacred that spelling!) grace the B-side of the original Polydor album for TWISTED NERVE?

ahem, you might like Camille Bazbaz' HORS DE PRIX as well. I've just received my copy today - unknowing what to expect - and I'm blown away by the music. For my taste, it's a fantastic score. From a French film produced in 2006! The music is jazzy, groovy with that 60's swing in it. So, no wonder the hammond organ is all over the place, too. The only quibble, there are just about 23 minutes of it. Milan released the CD in France, still easy to get anywhere. Just listen to the exerpt of the main title: http://www.amazon.fr/gp/music/clipserve/B000LSA862001001/1/ref=mu_sam_ra001_001 or this one is great, too http://www.amazon.fr/gp/music/clipserve/B000LSA862001003/1/ref=mu_sam_ra001_003 Of course, I also like the Reed music from GIRL ON A MOTORCIYCLE. However, I have some reservaitions against the sound effects of the motorcycle. For me, whenever they pop up, they ruin the listening pleasure for me.
