A roomate of mine was his Personal Assistant for a time back in L.A. late 80's early 90's. I met him once and he WAS indeed a character.

Condolonces to his Partner, Family and Friends.

Did you ever see Alec Baldwin do his imitation of Charles with Will Farrell as James Lipton on their INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO take off on SNL (Saturday NIte Live)?
A real Hoot and Baldwin was Spot On.

Reilly gave us a lot of laughs and I thank him and will miss him for the joy.

Had the good fortune to meet him at a comedy review a few years back. Acerbic fellow. And as a child of the '70s it would have been hard not to catch him on TV.

He was delightfully funny. May he have the angels laughing.

Trace Beaulieu[sp?] did a great Reilly impersonation on MST3K frequently ("These Bob Mackie gowns are FAB-u-lous!").

His performance as Claymore Gregg in the TV series version of The Ghost and Mrs Muir was the high point of his career.

The absence of the character from the 1947 feature film marginalizes it as fourth-rate entertainment, making it well-nigh unwatchable.

CNR has a small but fun part in this 2002 short film (released 2011, apparently).

His scene starts here: https://youtu.be/M3HJ45dkwiM?t=506

He's awfully good (as are Jim J. Bullock, and a cranky cat) in it. The rest: meh.

He appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" more times than anyone. Probably his most memorable skit is the one where he played the snooty airport clerk who gives Johnny a hard time.
