Only in Canada, where he was born. At current exchange rates, that makes him only 90% of a saint.

I recently watched a 1970 TV movie with Ford entitled "The Brotherhood of the Bell" which was a good thriller.

Which of course was scored by Jerry Goldsmith. Interesting Chamber Orchestra Baroque/Jazz Score by the Master.

Goldsmith scored Ford also in FATE IS THE HUNTER, be it his shortest score ever.

Condolonces to Mr. Ford's family and friends. He was a wonderful actor.

Dana Carvey as Jimmy Stewart loved his Wavey Hair.

I think one of Ford's most outstanding performances was in RANSOM! Yes, he had a technique. But he also could internalize with the best of them and RANSOM! showed his talents at their very best.

For comedies, one of my favorites was THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER.

And he really did an amazing job with Pa Kent. That heart attack gave me the absolute shivers.

Hey Dan!
I was in Williamsburg this past Friday and Saturday... I looked your name up the phone to see if you wanted to get together for dinner, but you weren't listed.

Hey Jim!

I wasn't ever listed in Williamsburg, but I'm actually back in Richmond now. Let me know if you're in that neck of the woods!

You and everybody on the set, too, Ray. Richard Donner said they were dumbstruck when he fell, thinking he'd really had one.

I'm reading his bio now. He did some interesting things that I'd like to see, like LUST FOR GOLD.

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse was a BKIG budget movie.

No, not good, a GREAT THRILLER! Finally released on dvd (actually MOD) on Amazon. For anyone who liked THE GAME starring Michael Douglas (which is sort of an action remake of SECONDS), you'll love this one. And a great '70s score by Goldsmith.

I'm getting this from interlibrary loan. Can't wait!

Oh, I was wrong wrong. Donner said it was when he grabbed his arm they were dumbstruck, not when he fell.

I've never seen THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE BELL, but now I hope I finally will some time. I do seem to remember when it was originally broadcast that it was one of the first "Made-for-TV-movies," kicking off the trend which of course is now a staple of the airwaves.

Wow, this was a great western. And some awesome (on-set) special effects!

Is he still dead? I thought by now he'd come back.
