I'm having a hard time deciding if Silvestri's music is rather whimsical or just by-the-numbers decoration to an already super sugar coated feel-good blah?
Amas Veritas from the soundtrack album is one of my favorite pieces of music - period. (I think Yokko Kanno liked it too, as she wrote something with a very similar 'feel', penny whistle and all, in the game Napple Tale).
I would love...LOOOOVE....to get the whole score on CD.
Just received an import cd of PRACTICAL MAGIC and am wondering if it is a bootleg. ? On the Owens Blossom Music label. PMCD-19982008. Contains the complete Silvestri score and the rejected Nyman score. 63 cuts at nearly 90 minutes. I absolutely love the Silvestri score. What does anyone know about this?
