Kinda ironic that this thread is(Or was) underneath the Bob Clark thread, since one of the funniest lines in A Christmas Story was the "frageelay" joke!

Well, I tried to order Fragiles on a link posted a few comments above. Put the CDs in the cart - everything is fine, but then clicked on the checkout button and there's some kind of an error.
Tried to write to the webmaster and of course, my e-mail returned 2 days later...
Excellent online store! frown

I've long since given up on trying to order from Discoweb.com. They may have gotten me my first ever Baños score, but they've let me down on every single order I've placed since.

The ideal solution would be for the Meliam Music store to ship internationally, but unfortunately it looks like they're currently only shipping to Spain.

Although the website is still online, Discoweb has gone out of business (bankrupt), so don't count on it.

Sergio, can you recommend a website from which to purchase these titles?

They had Frágiles and Rosario Tijeras as recenly as last week too. Hopefully they'll have them in stock again soon. I was going to order Rosario Tijeras this week, but it was gone before I could place an order.

Bond1965 turned me on to Roque Banos and if anyone around here knows how to find out about getting this composer's work, it would be him.

Those sites are a mess. No stock, no overseas sales, no info on when releasing (sergioleone, you seem to have info but the cds are usually nowhere to be found)... They really want to keep these composers for them!!

Both CAJA KOVAK and the Columbian-CD of ROSARIO TIJERAS are on the main gallery page over at Tarantula.
This usually means they have these in stock.

But with the usually higher prices here in Europe plus the currency conversion it may be too expensive for people overseas.

And Melian only ships within Spain !?
Now that's good for the business big grin

What's Tarantula, and can you provide a URL, please?

By the way, does anybody have the THINGS YOU CAN TELL JUST BY LOOKING AT HER - CD ? And is it any good ??

No good at all. Extremelly boring, typical Shearmur stuff in this genre.

"Frágiles", "Intruders" and "La Caja Kovak" are my favorite scores by Banos.

Also, they contain some of the best melodramatic suspense cues, heartbreakingly haunting.

Check out:

"Frágiles": "Requiem for Annie", "They just stay near what they love"

"Intruders": "Discovering the truth", "It´s over"

"La Caja Kovak": "Farewell"
