I remember vividly his theme for United Artists and his season 2 input on "The Bionic Woman" after Jerry Fielding's departure.

Bionically yours.

Very sad for your loss, Ford.

Mr. Harnell was an amazing talent, and I'm sure a wonderful guy.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad indeed. His music for "V" should not be overlooked.

Sorry to hear about this. I'm afraid I'm only familiar with his HULK theme, but that is an understated beauty.

Very sad news. His work on "V" The original series was very underrated, and is among one of my favourite scores.

I'm sorry to hear that Ford. I know you worked with him on at least one CD (the original "V" miniseries).

My condolences.

I loved his work. From the Bionic Woman, through The Hulk, V and even the pilot score for AlienNation. A really, really sad loss.

My best to his family and friends (Ford, Kenny Johnson among others).

I only just found out.

Very sad. I enjoy his Hulk promo CD, particularly The Wedding suite.

I think this has not been mentioned before: Harnell's most famous LP containing his arrangement of "Fly Me To The Moon" has been re-released on CD.

Condolences, Ford, and thanks for letting us know.

I've been a Joe Harnell fan since high school and still hope for a CD release of his swinging cover of Elmer Bernstein's theme for HUD. It made the Top 40 in the summer of '63.

Quite unfortunate. He was certainly a composer who never got a really big scoring opportunity as he probably deserved.

Anyone know when Joe Harnell's United Artists theme music premiered? Was it for ROCKY III, released in May of '82?

I think it was FOR YOUR EYES ONLY as I recall.

Some of the best TV themes and music came from this gentleman...not the least of which was "V"! It was in me mind when I first saw the original mini-series, and has been one of me favourite soundtracks in me collection. Thanks for posting this once again...
